Overview
To meet the urgent need for accessible emergency care knowledge across rural Cambodia, Majesty International is launching a scalable Village First Aid Instructor Training program beginning in October 2025. This initiative will train and certify 20 individuals already embedded in youth development and educational organizations to become qualified instructors in both Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and Village First Aid instruction.

The goal is not only to equip but to multiply—ensuring that life-saving knowledge reaches thousands of at-risk youth each year through trusted local leaders who understand the cultural and geographical context firsthand.

The Model
Over a two-week training period, we will equip 20 English-speaking (ideally bilingual) leaders with the medical and instructional skills required to teach culturally specific first aid courses in Cambodian communities. These individuals will be carefully selected based on their leadership roles, alignment with our mission, and their organization’s capacity to host recurring training.

Each certified instructor will be expected to lead at least 10 Village First Aid courses annually, with each class serving up to 20 youth. This model allows for consistent, localized education delivery—reaching up to 4,000 youth per year with foundational emergency response skills.

Strategic Fit
This initiative directly supports Majesty International’s six Core Criteria:

  • Christ-Centered – We model service and compassion through practical, life-saving training that reflects the heart of the Gospel.
  • Empowerment – Rather than deliver aid from the outside, we are raising up leaders to serve from within.
  • Integrity – We invest in high-quality training and hold our instructors to measurable commitments.
  • Alignment – This program supports our mission of holistic youth development through practical education.
  • Sustainability – By training trainers, we eliminate dependency and allow for ongoing impact without repeated outside intervention.
  • Community-Focused – We prioritize leaders who already live and work among the youth they will train.

Launch Investment
Majesty International will fully fund the first training cohort, covering all logistics, including:

  • Housing and meals for 20 participants for two weeks
  • Course tuition, materials, and certification fees
  • Curriculum adapted for Cambodian context

Total Budget: $25,000

This launch cost ensures that every participant receives not only high-quality instruction, but the tools and resources necessary to immediately begin teaching others.

Anticipated Outcomes

  • 20 certified Cambodian-based Village First Aid instructors
  • Each instructor teaching 10 courses per year
  • Up to 4,000 youth reached annually
  • Strengthened partnerships with high-impact NGOs and schools
  • Measurable health and safety improvements in rural areas

Next Steps
Following the inaugural training, Majesty International will:

  • Support ongoing mentorship and accountability for each instructor
  • Develop a Khmer-language version of the course for broader accessibility
  • Evaluate outcomes and explore options for scaling to additional regions
  • Explore recognition and alignment with national health training standards

This initiative reflects our long-term vision: not just training for today, but building a self-sustaining network of Cambodian leaders who are ready to respond, equipped to teach, and positioned to save lives in their communities for years to come.
